Kenny Craig - Crap Supermarket

It's getting a bit 'Fast Show' now. Marjorie pretends she isn't fat, insults her fatties, the audience laughs because she is indeed a big fat pig. Lou doesn't notice that Andy doesn't need the wheelchair while Andy performs a ridiculous feat, returning to the chair just in time. Mr. Mann goes into the shop and is very, very specific about what he wants. And so on...

Still quite funny though, especially Tom Baker getting all the best lines as usual. "I love to slip into a tutu... Archbishop Desmond Tutu" was a particularly inspired idea. He has been doing a lot of voiceovers for other things recently though, and appearing in Sunday night nice old fashioned telly show Monarch Of The Glen with the lovely Prime Minister Michael (Anthony Head) just to confuse people. Confusing could also describe the odd accent Matt did in the one-off verbalising newsagent sketch, which I am sure had a changed line from what we saw at the filming. At least this accent was intended to be Indian, unlike when it was used by him playing a white character in BBC3's not very funny comedy Catterick.

Highlights this week were ones we saw re-shot at the filming a few times: the way Sebastian's hair 'acts' when he flounces off and the bizarre Mr. Mann bits where he didn't grip the book and dropped it , plus how Roy always has the prop he needs within arm's reach. How convenient!

Right, I am off to read 'I Tried It Once And Didn't Like It' by Michael Portillo. The Llandewi Breffi library has an excellent gay section these days!
