Minder (I Could Be So Good For You).
Comedy drama series. Cockney hardman ex-boxer and jailbird Terry McCann is the minder of Cockney wheeler-dealer businessman Arthur Daley (George Cole). Stay Lucky
Comedy drama series. Cockney drifter Thomas Gynn, after tangling with crooks ends up in Yorkshire where he teams up with narrowboat owning Sally Hardcastle in a series of adventures. John Lively runs a junkyard beside a canal in Yorkshire. He turns out to be a very sympathetic character in his interactions with a young runaway, Pippa, who he has taken in and sheltered (synopsis from TV Tome).

On The Up
Tony Carpenter (Dennis Waterman) is a self-made millionaire who has never lost touch with his cockney roots. He lives in a large house staffed by butler Sam (Sam Kelly), secretary Maggie (Jenna Russell) and cook Mrs Wembley (Joan Sims). Tony has a stormy relationship with his wife Ruth (Judy Buxton). She's a snob who doesn't approve of his "all mates together" attitude to his staff (synopsis from here).

Comedy drama series. Escaped convict John (Dennis Waterman) is on the run, he wins the lottery. With Miriam Margolyes (the fat one), Peter Davison (from the telly) and Ruth Madoc.
